"The stars men follow have different meanings.
For some people-travellers-the stars are guide.
For others they are merely little lights in the sky.
For others still-the scientists-they are problems to be solved.
For my businessman they meant gold.
But for all these people, the stars are silent.
For you, the stars will be as they are for no one else.
At night, when you look up at they sky,
since I shall be living on a star,
and since I shall be laughing on a star,
for you it will be as if all the stars are laughing.
You alone will have stars that can laugh!"

This wk marks the finale for my entire 1 and half year of ccas.
Tue: SYF choral closing ceremony. I would very much like to say tt its a nice perfect ending, but i have to say with much regrets and its not. Last sat, i alr started to hv throat infection. i shud hv made more sense to slp enough and eat the right diet, but alas, my tonsils got worse and worse on tue during the course of the day. The more i sing, more the feeble my voice became...until its reduced to a state tt my voice become nothing but "sexy". Felt extremely guilty for having to pressurise the people around me to sing my parts, with a few hours or even minutes' notice to learn the parts and perform onstage, and also having to endure scoldings together. Also missed the chance to give my best for the last performance as a j2 of njchoir. Thank you, sopranoes, and also jiayun. i owe you once.
It was quite a pain to be unable to speak properly for the next few days. To make up for my inadequacy of speech, my facial expressions and hand gestures have to be exaggerated many times, making me behave like an idiot. Anyway i felt quite loved and touched by those well-wishers who enquire me about my health, and some who made my inadequacy of speech more endurable by cheering me up and becoming my 代言人。 Haha many thanks.
Fri: Aurora CO/GZ concert. (I m glad the performance doesnt require any vocals :p) It was a tiring day, with all those carrying of instruments up and down the stairs, and even in the rain. Nevetheless it was pretty enjoyable, esp photo taking! As i was performing i became increasingly aware tt this IS my final official performance onstage as a school student, from p3 to j2. Though i hv been complaining about wanting to step down, i felt weird now...like i m gg to miss smth fun in sch life, which makes sch life endurable or even enjoyable. i guess this feeling will become more pronounce for the following weeks, when i start to become a full-time mugger. however, i think i really need to start to work hard...i m really lagging behind.
On the final note, i wanna thank all those ppl who came and supported on fri, and of cuz those chos and flowers! so pretty! :D

"Like little carbon seeds
Refuse to turn to dust
Under high temperature and pressure
Shedding itself, that thin layer of black
A crystalline diamond
With scintillating brilliance
Like a warm summer breeze
Whispers a familiar dream
A euphonious melody
Carrying angels in its very breath
What is the difference now
Between heaven and earth
Like a Victoria’s ****** ***
Of fine calibre and support
So close to the heart
A touch of femininity
To accentuate the melodious body
Radiating inner beauty
Like pieces of jigsaw
Each of a different colour
A tint of chocolate, a hue of cream
Only when pieced together
A magnificent panorama
Pastel skies engulf a sea of cerulean blue
We are the voice in you
Singing that simple song of love
Rejoice!"
-The Sopranos, Claudia Leung
Its such a nice poem. a pity it could not be put in the programme bklet, so i posted it here.

The journey for nj choir has definitely not been a smooth one. In briefly these few months, we have gone thru extremes...the drastic ups and downs in not juz our performance but also our morale, spirit etc. It has been a journey of challenges, not juz technical and musical challenges, but most importantly, emotional and mental challenges, coupled with the fact that competition between jc choirs hv been very tough. Thus facing constant pressure from other choirs become quite inevitable.
Within these months, many of our morales hv been shaken badly before, our spirits had reached a all-time low. However we managed stay firm, and its the notion tt each of us are trying hard to improve constantly really touches me. For today, though the nervousness in our hearts is hard to contain, we managed to transfrom tt nervousness into excitement, to throw in all tt we hv for a fabulous and impressive performance that we know we will not regret even when we juz stepped down from the stage. I was particularly worried about my dear section, but they proved tt my worries were unneccessary; their first 4 notes were simply clear and bright. and not juz tt...the rest of the performance was smoothly delivered. of cuz that applies to the rest of the choir too, it was really much better than i expected. For everything performance onstage, u might think tt my attitude is abit 消极 but i always expect some room left for imperfections, and this is the first time i realised i shouldnt hv expected too much room for imperfections. Why cant the best of us be delivered onstage? :)
i say with regrets i have not been with most of nj choir to wait for results in school. it mus hv been a great experience to be with the choir, exploding in happiness together when the gd news are announced. haha but being at the 现场 to listen to results is quite a different experience too. the 3 of us are sorta representative nj to cheer for our dear choir, smth tt we would love to do so.
i cant wait for friday when choir will stand in front of the school in assembly, bowing to the sch to the long-awaited line,
"Presenting to you, NJC choir- GOLD WITH HONOURS."
(back to reality tmr. the school work i hafta catch up are piling up)
